It's a battle of the beans: this year's fifth annual WCFHBA Cornhole Tournament and first ever Chili Cook-Off at Waterline Brewing is slated to be a bean-filled day of friendly competition!
Teams of two will compete in a double-elimination tournament, and the winning team takes home a cash prize! All skill levels are welcome, whether you've never held a bean bag in your life or you count bean bags instead of sheep to go to sleep at night.
And what could pair better with a brisk winter day, cornhole, and craft beers than a warm bowl of chili? Nothing, if you ask us. You read that right, folks: this year's tournament will feature WCFHBA's Inaugural Chili Cook-Off! Between bean bag tosses, head inside to toss some beans in your belly. Sample a variety of chilis made by your fellow HBA members and vote for your favorites! Best chili wins a trophy, so if you've got a fire recipe, make sure you register to compete.
This is an event you'll wish you had bean to if you miss out! Pricing is available for general attendees as well, so don't worry if you're not good at tossing or if you aren't a master chef; there's still a way for you to get in on the bean-tastic action. Check out all ticket options under "Fees/Admission" on this page.
Whether you're tossing beans or eating them, we'll see you there!
Thank you to our hosting sponsor, Guy C. Lee!
*This event will be outdoors with an indoor bar, indoor chili cook-off competition, and plenty of space to get warm (or cool off... This is Wilmington, after all; who knows what the weather will be!). Be sure to dress comfortably for the day's forecast!
